google fashion website.jpgGetting into the fashion game are the tech-savvy guys at Google. According to WWD, the company is set to launch a fashion website and virtual boutiques, which is due to launch this Wednesday.

Although many of the details have been kept hush-hush, what is known is that users will soon be able to create and share their own personalised shop by choosing style preferences, brands and items that they like. Google have reportedly recruited Sarah Jessica Parker and are attempting to persuade Katie Holmes to set up their own shops. Some of the designers involved so far include Oscar de la Renta, Tory Burch, Cynthia Rowley, Marchesa, Isaac Mizrahi, Tracy Reese and Erin Fetherston.

Purchases won't actually be completed by users on Google, but rather they will be transferred to a brand's online store or retailer, such as Saks, Barneys or Net-a-Porter. Dubbed Boutiques.com, it is believed to be similar to that of Polyvore and ShopStyle. Keep your eye on Google folks!
