The designer succeeds Hilary Riva who resigned from the BFC earlier this month after five years. Hindmarch joins the ranks alongside Harold Tillman, chairman; Caroline Rush, chief executive officer; Simon Ward, chief operating officer; and Chris Inman, treasurer. She was also named as a UK ambassador for foreign trade with Jimmy Choo's Tamara Mellon.

"I am looking forward to getting involved and being able to contribute to such an innovative and prestigious body at such an exciting time for British fashion," Hindmarch said.
