Alexa Chung's new TV show is called 'Thrift America'
More details on Alexa Chung's brand new TV show have come to light following an interview she gave to The NY Times Sunday Styles section. Called Thrift America, the series is about scouring "consignment shops, garage sales and flea markets for old clothing, furniture, music equipment and other potential treasures to use in various creative endeavours."
Produced by Style.com's special projects editor Maya Singer for PBS, the first episode sees Chung help Pamela Love create a pop-up shop in London during Fashion Week.
Singer said viewers hoping to replicate Ms. Chung's high-low style will see firsthand, "What does Alexa Chung pull out of the crap bin at the yard sale?"
Sounds promising and a lot more up Chung's alley than her
now defunct, It's On With Alexa Chung, talk show for MTV. Thrift America is due to debut next summer, there's no word yet on whether her UK fans will be able to watch it.
