The latest on Karl Lagerfeld's fashion island, Isla Moda
You may remember us discussing Isla Moda way back in 2008. It's the Dubai-based man made island that Karl Lagerfeld has put his hand up to design hotels and residential villas for. Well, two years later and renderings for the design of the island (nicknamed fashion island) have finally been revealed. And, just as expected, it looks rather futuristic with Biodome-esque buildings making up the 150 residences, three luxury hotels, and a host of designer boutiques. Aimed at the uber-wealthy, I doubt many of us mere mortals will have the opportunity to visit such a place. But going by these images, would you really want to? The project is due to be completed by 2014. Click here to see more.
