Making his Paris debut this season is Zac Posen. After upsetting the New York schedule by announcing he would be showing his in Paris, Posen unveiled the Spring '11 looks for his lower-priced line, Z Spoke. With costume feathers the central theme, the collection featured mostly aspects of couture dotted throughout. Unfortunately for the designer, so far the reviews haven't been good, with the Wall Street Journal claiming it "tried too hard."

Meanwhile, WWD claims Posen "did himself no favours" by choosing Paris as his location, which demands better. I think the problem lies in describing the collection as "couture for day," which seems to have confused critics into believing that boudoir/showgirl-esque attire is suitable for daytime.
