matthewwilliamson_flagshipnewyork.jpgFans of Matthew Williamson it's time to get excited! Your favourite designer is set to unveil a new diffusion line called Muse by Matthew Williamson (a working title).

The "younger sister" line is part of a new license agreement with the Italian company Mariella Burani Fashion Group (MBFG). The Group will produce and distribute the line after it was placed under a government-supported bankruptcy protection earlier this year.

Prices for line will range from £300 pounds for a day dress, to £500 pounds for evening pieces. It will be sold via MBFG showrooms in London, Paris, New York, Milan, Hong Kong and Dubai.

"It's for a woman who wants feel-good clothing, and it will have the same aesthetic, DNA and surface signatures as the main line," said Williamson.

It's not the first time Williamson has created a secondary line. He has collaborated several times with Debenhams on a high street line. In addition to this, the British designer also launches his coffee table book this week featuring essays by celebrities and industry pals. He will also showcase a selection of his designs at Somerset House as well as launch a new capsule collection with Net-a-Porter. Phew talk about busy!
