Paul Costelloe, as usual, opened London Fashion Week with his Spring/Summer 2011 show on Friday morning.

As the bright eyed and bushy tailed sat patiently waiting for the show to begin, the music faded for a few seconds and we were treated to the sound of Paul shouting at his team backstage to hurry up. The entire audience erupted with laughter and started Tweeting furiously.

The show saw a classic, well rounded collection with a fresh take on the summer dress; I quote "A fusion of ethereal prettiness with biker girl chic"...sounds delectable doesn't it?
Models strutted down the runway in cute print summer dresses with high volume skirts, ruffled textures and pastel tones, finished off with a pearlescent metallic shine. These were juxtaposed with structured jackets, cropped bikers and tailored gillets bringing a real whimsical English Summer time feel with an unexpected twist.

Our fave pieces included a low back full skirted dress with oversized bow and a metallic sheen jacket with large hood. Hair was understated; models were uniformed with messy back-combed beehives with loose strands and a soft textured feel, whilst the make-up simply popped with flawless dewy skin and coral orange hued lips.

The big surprise of the show arrived when Paul Costelloe's six, yes six, sons came onto the catwalk. They were greeted with, at first, a sea of confused faces that soon turned to whoops and applause as they took to the runway and everyone had guessed who they were. His sons wore navy suits and slick hair for a real sports luxe feel in celebration of Costelloe's third menswear collection.

This season, we've teamed up with official London Fashion Week sponsors Canon to create the ultimate LFW guide
