Natalia Vodianova to act opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers
In her first leading role, Natalia Vodianova has been cast opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors).
The Russian supermodel has scored a role in the upcoming film Belle du Seigneur, an English-adaptation of Albert Cohen's epic 1968 French novel. Natalia plays a married Swiss woman who embarks on a tortured affair with a Jewish official leading up to World War II, played by Rhys Meyers.
Filming is slated to begin on 25th October in Geneva and Italy, with the movie set for release in 2012. Ironically the director, Glenio Bonier, has shot commercials for Calvin Klein, of which Natalia has previously been the face of.
This isn't the first feature film Natalia has starred in, she also played Medusa in this year's Clash of the Titans.
