Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011: D&G
Fancy a bit of croquet? How about a cucumber sandwich? That is what we were left in the mood for after watching D&G's Spring 2011 collection. At this garden party ladies get up early to tend to their blooms in outfits made from canvas dungarees and trousers. Lunchtime is a romantic picnic, combining hydrangea prints with vichy patterns. Later its cocktail hour, with floaty '70s-style skirts, poplin summer dresses, gingham, apron skirts, frilly bloomers, and bright jumpsuits teamed with floral headscarves. While the evening is reserved for glamorous floor-length chiffon gowns printed with every type of flower from roses to violets. Divine!
