Jasper Conran's Spring Summer 2011 offering was fresh, relaxed and polite at yesterday's catwalk show for London Fashion Week. Classic English summer was the theme and easily achieved with a light, airy, clean and bright collection leveraging a 1950's seaside feel. We saw below knee hemlines, full pleated skirts with wide belts and spaghetti strapped sun dresses.

The show started with a feel reminiscent of the Riviera where monochrome tailoring and geometric prints met a more feminine retro British delight. Colours were vivid and fresh with orange taking centre stage. All outfits were effortlessly teamed with cute flat plimsols, providing that 1950's cute preppie vibe. Stephen Jones's wide brimmed floppy hats sat nicely with neat low knotted pulled back hair for an all round British feel. Overall a perfect collection for Jasper Conran's usual demographic. I'm just not quite sure I'm it!
