marcjacobs_newyorkerprofilesep.jpgIs Marc Jacobs about to launch a plus-size line? That's what everyone is talking about after his business partner, Robert Duffy tweeted that he was in discussions to create a separate plus-size collection.

"We are in talks now. For plus sizes," he tweeted, "Listen, we are in the very beginning stages of talking to a partner about plus sizes. Relax. It won't be based on the collection line."

Some are wondering whether this has anything to do with Saks' recent decision to begin stocking plus-size clothing from this autumn. Either way, if a plus-size line comes to fruition it's bound to delight many a Jacobs fan.

In the meantime, the company is gearing up for the launch of Jacobs's first e-commerce website on September 15.

The launch is set to coincide with his spring 2011 show in New York, as well as his new Manhattan book store, Bookmarc. (Cute name, huh?) Unfortunately, his transactional website will only be available to US customers to begin with. Boo!
