Fashion world mourns photographer Corinne Day
Famed photographer Corinne Day has sadly passed away, following a battle with brain cancer. Day is credited with discovering Kate Moss, and helping to create some of the most iconic photos of the supermodel when she was just 16-years-old.
Renowned for her uninhibited, documentary style, Day was one of the first photographers to shy away from the typical glossified magazine photography during the 1980s. Her most famous sets of photographs include a series of black-and-white shots taken of Moss for the "3rd Summer of Love" editorial for the FACE magazine in 1990.
Last year, a fund was set-up to raise money to help Day fight the illness she had been suffering from for over a decade. Her treatment was unsuccessful, and so friends of the photographer have started to organise a retrospective of her work to be exhibited at the V&A Museum.
