Jonathan Saunders named Scottish Fashion Designer of the Year
Jonathan Saunders has been named Designer of the Year at the fifith Scottish Fashion Awards held in Glasgow. The event attracted a bevy of famous faces. Some of whom to walk the
red tartan carpet included Jade Parfitt, Diana Vickers, Gabriella Cilmi and male model, David Gandy.
Other winners on the night were Holly Fulton, who scooped the prize for Young Designer of the Year. Jett Sweeney, from Edinburgh College of Art, who won the Graduate of the Year category, as sponsored by Marks & Spencer. As an extra bonus prize, M&S will produce and sell a dress designed by Sweeney in their Limited Collection range.
While crooner Paolo Nutini won the award for Style Icon of the Year, and hair stylist Malcolm Edwards was inducted into the 2010 Hall of Fame. Judging this year was editor of Vogue.com, Dolly Jones; designer Amanda Wakeley; and Grazia's Paula Reed.
