June 10, 2010 - Soweto, SOUTH AFRICA - epa02195593 Black Eyed Peas lead singer Fergie performs during the FIFA World Cup Kickoff concert at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, South Africa, 10 June 2010. The FIFA 2010 World Cup is due to kick off in South Africa on 11 June.

With the world's eyes fixed on Johannesburg right now, it was a cracking start to the 2010 World Cup. At the opening ceremony, Fergie burst onto the stage in a monster of an outfit created by Indian design duo Shane and Falguni Peacock. Her look comprised of a gladiator-style body suit, embellished in gold and silver, and featuring a bejeweled chest plate and exaggerated shoulders.

When asked how they scored such a lucrative job, Falguni said that following their London Fashion Week presentation, they held a press show in L.A. which led to a designer put in charge of styling Fergie for the World Cup concert, requesting one of their garments.
