Headed for the hammer are two Alexander McQueen gowns from the late designer's A/W 2007 ready-to-wear collection. The one-of-a-kind pieces are due to go to auction at London's Bonham's later this month.
The gowns were inspired by the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, and include incredible hand beading and feathers. One of the items, a "sorceress" gown which was worn by Holly Valance at this year's Brit Awards (pictured), features heavy gold embellishments, and is estimated to fetch between £12,000 and £18,000 at auction.
The second piece, includes a sequin-encrusted gold bodice and long champagne-coloured silk skirt, it is expected to reach between £10,000 and £14,000 under the hammer.
Both dresses will be auctioned off at 1pm on Wednesday June 30th as part of Bonham's Vision 21 sale. For more, visit: www.bonhams.com
