Psst... Is Karl Lagerfeld planning to go mass market?
*Gasp* Could Karl Lagerfeld really be plotting to take over the world? Okay, so I might be exaggerating, sort of...
According to WWD, Karl has his sights set on taking his eponymous label to the mass market.
Of course it wouldn't be the first time the French designer has dabbled in the wider market, he collaborated on a capsule collection for H&M in 2004.
Now Lagerfeld has revealed that his "dream is to turn the whole house of Lagerfeld into this kind of [mass] business." Why? Because he's "at the peak of luxury with Chanel and Fendi," naturally.
"Being at both ends of the market is the height of luxury," he claims. Although he is yet to discuss the details with his management team. Hmm, that might be something he'd ought to address before let's say, talking to the media. Just a suggestion!
