Harrods sold off for £1.5 billion
Just last month Mohammed Al Fayed was reported as saying he planned to own Harrods for the rest of his living days. Well, it seems as though he changed his mind after selling the luxury department store for £1.5 billion. After 25 years as owner, Al Fayed sold the store to Qatar Holding, in order to spend more time with his family. He will now assume the role of honorary chairman of Harrods which is said to have an exclusive on Tom Ford's womenswear collection when it launches.
