Eurovision 2010: Your fabulous fashion round-up!
It was that time again over the weekend, when the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest burst onto our TV screens in all its usual colour and craziness. Without giving away the winner (in case you missed it!) this year's contest was held in Oslo, Norway. With the competition fierce, so were some of the costumes. One of my favourite looks of the night came from Moldova's entrants, Sunset Project and Olia Tira (pictured above). The modern-day Roxette group mixed futuristic design with bright '80s make-up.
Meanwhile one of the most popular trends on the night was the evening gown. And not just any ordinary gown either, these frocks were short in the front and long in the back with floaty trains made from an array of colours and fabrics. Safura of Azerbaijan (pictured above) took a leaf out of Katy Perry's book and added a bit of light work to her blue strapless gown.
Also joining the ball gown brigade were the Croatian contestants, Feminnem. The sexy trio chose to go with matching cream lace minidresses featuring gold billowing trains.
Perhaps the most
tacky surprising costumes of the night were left to 3+2 of Belarus. Performing their song 'Butterflies', three of the female singers each dressed in gold, silver and bronze gowns sprouted wings during the finale part of the song. Naturally!
