New York Fashion Week A/W 2010: Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang - Runway - Fall 2010 MBFW

Look out Wall Street - Alexander Wang is coming! New York's favourite guy used business suits as the basis of his A/W 2010 collection. Dark tailored ensembles featured an array of fabrics such as velvet, flannel, tweed, wool and pinstripe. Deconstructed mens' pieces including waistcoats and trousers were redesigned into tailcoat jackets and shrugs. There was also an element of bondage with belts crisscrossed and layered over other garments and a Gothic gyspy feel in crushed velvet dresses.

  • Wow the deconstructed suit is brilliant! I also love the pinky velvet dress and the final dress. He is getting better and better, I wonder if he will ever be offered the helm of another brand, or will stick with his own company?
