After a week of looking longingly across that pond at the action in New York, we UK dwellers are finally getting a taste of the very latest work to spring from the fertile minds of the world's greatest designers.
The exhibition was officially opened by Sarah Brown this morning, looking exceptionally stylish in a printed Erdem dress. A minute's silence was observed at the ceremony in honour of Lee Alexander McQuen, whose death shocked the world last week; a memorial wall has also been erected at Somerset House for admirers to leave tributes.
Catwalk shows have already begun, with today's highlights including Bora Asku, Sass & Bide and Paul Costelloe. The team at CQ will be bringing you highlights from the shows, straight from catwalk where we'll be blogging from our new teeny tiny Dell Inspiron mini PCs; handbag-sized notebooks that will be becoming our best friends during the coming week.
Next stop: Orla Kiely's presentation
