Giles Deacon has donned a different cap, this time as interviewer for LOVE magazine's latest issue. The designer sat down for a cosy chat with his pal Victoria Beckham about her burgeoning career in fashion design.

"I'm just happy to have someone who wants to talk to me [about this]. Normally, David's like, 'Stop it, I don't want to talk about clothes anymore! I want to talk about motorbikes and tattoos," she says.

As for what lies in the future, Beckham admits she isn't in any rush to expand to menswear. "I think Tom Ford is doing an incredible job...but it's not like I can't wait to do a men's line. I love women. I'm a real girl's girl," she confesses. As to her reaction to reading reviews of her collection, she describes it as an "out-of-body experience".

And it seems she tries on every single piece before it makes the final cut. "Do you not try your dresses on, then?" she asks Deacon. "I don't know how men do it. I'm sure you must do it secretly."

The issue, titled "Fashion Icons," features eight different covers of models including Kate Moss, Natalia Vodianova and Lara Stone. There are also interviews with Donatella Versace, and Stella McCartney in conversation with Luella Bartley.
