Alexander McQueen laid to rest; Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell attend funeral
Legendary fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen was laid to rest yesterday at a private funeral held at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge. Family and close friends gathered to pay their respects to McQueen, who was found dead in his London apartment earlier this month. Supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell attended the intimate service, both dressed entirely in black with Kate wearing a knee length dress, a black fur stole and black five inch Louboutin heels.
Making a dramatic entrance was Daphne Guinness, who arrived in one of McQueen's billowing black capes from his 2002 autumn collection. Also among the mourners was Sam Taylor-Wood and Stella McCartney, who arrived in black pleated trousers, knee high boots and a cropped swing jacket.
McQueen's father Ronald was joined by his five children at the funeral which follows just two weeks after the family buried their mother, Joyce. McQueen took his own life on the eve of her funeral. It is believed a memorial service for friends and supporters of Lee will be held at a later date this year. Meanwhile the McQueen brand is focusing on its upcoming Paris show to be held on March 9.
