Peter Jensen will fly the coop for New York Fashion Week
And another one bites the dust... or should that be the Big Apple rather? After a decade in London, Peter Jensen has revealed he is leaving our fair city for New York Fashion Week next season. A firm fixture on the London Fashion Week schedule, the Danish-born designer has made the transition from high fashion to high street thanks to his uber-cool creations for Topshop.
"I'd been thinking for a long time that I'd like to do something in New York," Jensen told Vogue UK. "Just before Christmas MAC called me up and asked if I'd like a space at Milk Studios to present my collection, the timing seemed perfect so I said yes. I'm really excited to have a new challenge and to have a reason to travel more to New York."
He will show his autumn/winter 2010 collection on February 14, at 8pm at Milk Studios, New York.
