Louis Vuitton turns the lens on Annie Leibovitz for its "core values" campaign
Louis Vuitton is no stranger to capturing the non-model types for its ongoing "core values" campaign, however this time the roles are reversed. The photographer, Annie Leibovitz, has become the subject in the brand's latest ads. According to WWD, Leibovitz hesitated at first but eventually caved on the condition that she use the hire fee to pose with someone fabulously famous.
Nevertheless this conflicted with what Vuitton communication director Antoine Arnault had in mind for the shoot. He wanted a self-portrait of the famed snapper, who has experienced a turbulent time lately after details of her troubled finances came to light. "She's a real, pure, 100 percent artist," said Arnault. "We've always been very committed to her, to her talent."
