hautecouture_christiandior_aw09_thumbnail.jpgCan you believe it but another Paris Haute Couture Week is now upon us! That means lots and lots of incredible dresses - a nice change from the men's shows which have taken over Paris and Milan for the couple of weeks.

Couture Week kicked off yesterday with an anti-war collection from former Balenciaga artistic director, Josephus Thimister. It was a dramatic and rather unsettling spring/summer 2010 return for Thimister who presented blood-splattered jackets and "survival trousers" complete with brown stains to resemble burns.

This morning, Alexis Mabille gets things running, followed by Christian Dior and Giorgio Armani Privé. On Tuesday, Cheryl Cole's favourite couturier, Stéphane Rolland will show together with Givenchy and Chanel. The week will finish off on Wednesday with shows from Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino... bring it!
