Hollywood is in shock today after the tragic passing of yet another young star. Brittany Murphy was reportedly found unconscious in the shower by her mother after suffering a full cardiac arrest early Sunday morning. The 32-year-old actress was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre but was unable to be revived. While the cause of her heart attack is yet unknown, rumours suggest that a combination of medications may have contributed. Murphy's mother is said to have told paramedics that her daughter was a type 2 diabetic.
Meanwhile, tributes from celebrity friends have flooded Twitter throughout the night. "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany's family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon. See you on the other side kid," tweeted her former boyfriend, Ashton Kutcher.
"Brittany Murphy was an incredible ray of Light to so many people. Her smile was contagious. My prayers are with her family and loved ones," said Jessica Simpson.
Known for her performances in 8 Mile and Sin City, she is most remembered by us for her break-out role in the 1995 chick flick, Clueless.
