Like many of you, when I first heard that V magazine would be producing the first-ever plus-size issue for its January 2010 edition, I applauded. Now a preview of that issue, namely Terry Richardson's editorial One Size Fits All has hit the internet and not surprisingly, it's got folks talkin'.

It seems that despite the mag's best intentions, placing plus-size model Crystal Renn next to industry-standard model Jacquelyn Jablonski in identical outfits kind of defeats the purpose. Or does it?

Clearly the statement here is that no matter what size or shape you are fashion is attainable for everyone. Or rather it should be. To be honest, I'm a bit preoccupied by the fact that Renn is considered plus-size. This issue hits stands January 14th.

    PLUS SIZE REALLY????

It's all strictly business. Bigger profit margin in making tiny doll clothes. I am not plus size but I am tall. If I want long, not cropped, pants or sleeves, I can either buy menswear or forget about it.

  • It's amazing to see what the fashion industry calls "plus-size". I think Crystal's size is what should be considered normal, the other model is just plain anorexic and IMHO sexually unappealing.

OUCH! Honestly at first glance you dont really see the diffrence so yeah ....Renn being considered a PLUS-SIZE model advocating beauty for all women of ALL sizes - cleary a direct way of lightening the blame on the fashion industry for so many self-esteem and phsycologicaly related problems amongst women -is definitaly worrying..

  • Why oh why is the fashion industry so largerladiesphobic? I admit I'm not a plus size lady myself, but it still really annoys me. Its like all these designers are sitting there mocking and gloating about how stick thin is beautiful and oh so mode. Pleaseeeee.
