Burberry's Christopher Bailey crowned 2009 British Designer of the Year
Congratulations go out to Christopher Bailey of Burberry today. He was named British Designer of the Year last night at the 2009 British Fashion Awards, held at London's Royal Courts of Justice.
The win marks Bailey's second Designer of the Year Award - he also scooped the gong in 2005. It topped off a stellar night (and year) for Bailey. His label, Burberry, was also named Brand of the Year and he recently received an MBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
During his acceptance speech, Bailey also revealed that Burberry would show again at London Fashion Week come February. "London is our home and our global headquarters, and we are thrilled to be showing again in this, our magnificent and creative city," he said. [Image: PicApp]
