Stella McCartney and Rihanna named among Glamour's Women of the Year
The red carpet was rolled out for the American Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York overnight. Showing off her feminine side in a figure-hugging ivory mermaid gown by Stephane Rolland was Rihanna. The troubled star gave an emotional acceptance speech while being honoured with the Woman Of The Year trophy.
"Sorry, I'm PMS-ing," she apologised to the crowd. "I couldn't possibly make it up here in this dress. As usual, I decided to wear the tightest dress I could find."
Meanwhile, Stella McCartney flew the flag for Britain alongside Estelle and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Wearing one of her own mini draped purple designs, McCartney was awarded for her fashion and environmental efforts by Beatles's wives Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison and Barbara Starkey.
During her speech, McCartney urged the audience to "never wear a skirt this short".
Why not, if you got a pair of legs like that?
