2009americanmusicawards_leonalewis.jpgA fresh wave of Leona Lewis fashion line rumours have sprung up again, only this time it involves another well-known identity.

OK magazine reports that Stella McCartney and Lewis are in discussions to launch an animal-friendly line of clothing. Along with Stella, Leona has been a public supporter of PETA and refuses to wear suede, leather or other animal products.

"I'm on a mission. I'd love to promote a line of non-leather bags and shoes that are affordable. I think more needs to be available and not so expensive," she is said to have told a friend. "I've always wanted to have my own fashion line, and that's something I want to focus on next year," she added.

Meanwhile as source told the Daily Mirror: "Leona and Stella get on like a house on fire. They met at the recent Children In Need charity show at London's Royal Albert Hall."

Of course, this isn't the first time that the X Factor star has been linked to her own range of vegan clothing. She first hinted at the possibility way back January last year. This was followed by speculation that she would launch a line for Topshop, but that rumour was promptly squashed.

Lewis also recently collaborated with Vivienne Westwood on her new album cover. She was also spotted on the weekend at the AMA's in one of Westwood's gothic-inspired designs (pictured). I wonder if a fashion line really is on the cards for the soulful diva.
