Breaking news: Madonna confirmed for Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010
It's true! Madonna is moving on from Louis Vuitton by becoming the new face of Dolce & Gabbana's spring 2010 campaign.
The label's online magazine, Swide, confirmed the rumours after revealing that the Queen of Pop shot the campaign with Steven Klein in Brooklyn over weekend.
"We are at the last shot... M [Madonna] is simply beautiful," blogged Stefano Gabbana. "We're very, very tired but very happy as well... To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true."
It seems that Madge was the perfect choice for D&G's Sicilian-inspired womenswear collection (not menswear as originally reported) which revisted the designers' fondness for corsets.
The trio first collaborated in the early Nineties when the designers created her costumes for Madonna's iconic, "The Girlie Show" tour in 1993. Since then they've kept up a friendship despite an embarrassing fashion blunder involving Whitney Houston earlier this year.
I'm guessing all is forgiven... ?!
