Mad Men costume designer hints at clothing line

madmen_ladiescastphoto.jpgCould we soon be dressing like Don or Betty Draper from Mad Men?

The hit television show's costume designer, Janie Bryant, has dropped a hint that she could soon be launching a clothing line.

"I'm working on some things right now," she told Glamour magazine. "I hate to be so mysterious but I can't really say! It would have my name attached to it though."

Nominated for a Costume Designers Guild Award, Bryant also admitted that she draws inspiration for the character of Betty from her grandmother: "She had an apron for every event that matched every dress - she had cocktail aprons and everyday aprons and she designed and built her own clothes and she was just such a lady."

We should have more designers for variety. These look nice. Welcome to Mad Men. Don't forget to make clothing for plus size women.

That's great news! I love it when a woman looks like a real lady.
