christopherbailey_stella_newyorkshows.jpgThe good news just keeps on rolling in for Christopher Bailey. He has just been given a promotion from creative director to chief creative officer at Burberry!

It's a new position for the company, a recognition of his contribution to the company which he joined in 2001. Speaking of the changes that have taken place during that time, chief executive Angela Ahrendts said: "[the brand is] more cohesive than at any time in the company's history," owing to the "clarity, consistency, and purity of [Bailey's] amazing vision."

The news follows on from the launch of Burberry's new social networking website Artofthetrench.com which allows fans to interact around the theme of the label's iconic trenchcoat. Yay Christopher!
