christopherbailey_stella_newyorkshows.jpgThe good news just keeps on rolling in for Christopher Bailey. He has just been given a promotion from creative director to chief creative officer at Burberry!

It's a new position for the company, a recognition of his contribution to the company which he joined in 2001. Speaking of the changes that have taken place during that time, chief executive Angela Ahrendts said: "[the brand is] more cohesive than at any time in the company's history," owing to the "clarity, consistency, and purity of [Bailey's] amazing vision."

The news follows on from the launch of Burberry's new social networking website which allows fans to interact around the theme of the label's iconic trenchcoat. Yay Christopher!
