Previews from Mango's autumn/winter ad campaign featuring Scarlett Johansson went public today, revealing an 80s-inspired and ultra feminine collection that should provide fans of the chain with some cast iron excuses to go shopping in coming weeks.

Johannson was pictured in a pencil skirt that's typical of the collections slimline forms and ladylike shapes. However, the image has prompted a mixed reception from the fashion press, with some praising the 'strong direction' being taken by the chain and others criticising its bland neutrality. Here at CQ, we're just surprised that this shot has been publicised so heavily as it really doesn't do justice to the collection, let alone to Johansson. We look forward to seeing the rest of the campaign which if this shot is anything to go by, should be far more likely to inspire.
