The ride upwards continues for Giles Deacon after he secured a place at the Pitti W trade show in Italy next year.
The British designer will show his womenswear collection for the first time in Florence as a featured guest designer. Previous guest designers have included Diane von Furstenberg, Giambattista Valli and Proenza Schouler.
"Giles Deacon is a young designer and we are always interested in those kind of designers. Discussions are taking place," a Pitti W spokesperson said.
It's the latest coup for Deacon, who presented S/S10 collection at Paris Fashion Week after winning the 2009 ANDAM Award and a prize of €160,000. We be very proud, natch!
