Breaking news: Jean Paul Gaultier to design for Target

jeanpaulgaultier_target_announcement.jpgNews has just dropped into my lap that Jean Paul Gaultier will be Target's next guest designer.

The American retailer has announced that Gaultier will be the third in its series of Designer Collaborations, following on from Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui. The line will be separate from Target's Go International initiative.

Known for his dramatic creations and producing costumes for Madonna in the '90s and Kylie Minogue in the noughties, the French designer may even get his own special Target pop-up store, although this is yet to be confirmed.

The Jean Paul Gaultier for Target collection will debut in the US on 7th March 2010 in over 250 stores and via target.com. It will be interesting to see what he'll produce.

  • Eeeeek!Heard a lot about Target but didn't know they delivered to the UK so will have me a little check out of the site. What with this and Jimmy Choo coming to Hennes I might yet be able to dress like a real life grown up soon (ie not realising half way through the day that EVERYTHING I'm wearing is Primark - socks, pants, hairband included.)
