Peter Som Tommy Hilfiger.jpgThe fashion rumour mill is going full grist as news has surfaced that Tommy Hilfiger has been in discussions with Peter Som to work part-time at the label as a creative consultant.

Peter Som's last appointment was at Bill Blass where he was creative director of womenswear and has since been rebuilding his own label. It is unlikely that the designer will go for a full-time position at a big name label, but a part-time contract could leave Som with plenty of time to concentrate on his own work. Milan-based Margon, a clothing manufacturer, and New York showroom ADC have both signed licensing deal with the designer which means we should be seeing a lot more of American designer.
