Milan Fashion Week: Prada Spring Summer 2010
Prada is one of the few fashion houses who manage to combine creativity with a strong commercial side. The collection seemed to take a business woman's wardrobe and adapt for the beach, perhaps a subtle comment on the recession? This show sees retro images of palm trees and beaches printed onto sculptural jackets and smart bermuda shorts. All the models toted business-like handbags and sported neat ponytails.
The chandelier detailing on dresses and shoes is sure to be a hit with Miuccia fans, and continues her love of extreme embellishment.
