Karen Mulder arrested for threatening plastic surgeon
Former '90s supermodel, Karen Mulder has been arrested in Paris after allegedly threatening her plastic surgeon.
The 39-year-old is being held by police after a complaint of "vicious telephone calls" was made by the surgeon. A detective said they were questioning Karen over repeated phone calls in which she was demanding that a previous operation be reversed.
"She was screaming and shouting about the operation and became extremely threatening," he said. "There were repeated calls to the female surgeon who was extremely scared."
This isn't the first time that the Dutch-born model has run into trouble. In 2001 she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for chronic depression which stemmed from a drug addiction during her modelling days. A year later she attempted to take her own life by overdosing on sleeping pills.
She now faces charges of threatening behaviour, but is expected to be released today.
