Things were all-white at the Elie Saab couture show on Wednesday. And when I say all-white, I mean it literally. The fashion house staged a completely ethereal white show, comprising of 45 looks, mostly short and long dresses. The focus seemed to be on the details, with each piece either ruffled, feathered, ruched or embellished with white sequins or beads. Against an entirely white backdrop it was, at times, difficult to tell leading many to wonder why Saab would choose to present an all-white show in the same place where Karl Lagerfeld held his whitewashed S/S '09 show for Chanel in January. Odd!
