Ah models! I have a huge passion for models. Despite all the controversy, I love looking at backstage shots and seeing the girls reading books or pulling funny faces. I love watching my favourite models being transformed at each show and fronting new campaigns. If I ever got to go to any runway shows, I would spend most of the time model spotting!
But I've been noticing a few changes on the scene. There have been some drastic changes for some girls as they have gone from one end of the spectrum to the other. Some of my favourite models have dyed their hair! This might seem trivial, but a model's look is essentially their career, so changing your hair colour can dramatically alter the campaigns you book and the photos you create. My favourite model is Vlada Roslyakova, she always looks so breath-taking in such a unique way, with her high cheekbones and wide-set eyes. I was so pleased when she went from a glamorous blonde to rich red this season! She's been around for a good time now so becoming a redhead will give her an edge back. I'm glad she still had the colour for the Couture shows recently, looking beautiful in Elie Saab!
Kinga Rajzak walked as a blonde in the Elie Saab Haute Couture show too; hopefully this is a permanent change! She was a brunette previously, and her white-blonde hair gives her an icy edge, great for a more futuristic, edgy campaign.
Also many know that Daul Kim hit the bleach and looks incredible! Her blonde makes her so ethereal and exotic. Changing your hair can totally change the way you look, so far it seems like very positive model behaviour! I'll be watching the upcoming shows for more changes!
