I guard my fashion secrets very closely as I have a big fear of things being unavailable. I stockpile almost everything in a compulsive and impulsive way! Hence the reason I have approximately fifteen pairs of fake eyelashes, over thirty Hello Kitty transfer tattoos and now six pairs of unopened Jasper Conran for Debenhams polka dot tights.
I LOVE these tights. Seriously, it's love. Marry me, Jasper Conran, for inventing these beauties! I worked as a lingerie Sales Assistant at Debenhams over Christmas and made the discovery. It always seems that when you are exposed to products for hours and hours, you really seek out the unexpected delights. I would never have browsed through Debenhams before, especially not in the lingerie section, therefore may have never even met these tights! Oh the horror! Read on to hear their bargain reduced price!
I have worn the tights on almost every night out with basically everything since. The main reason I have to stockpile them is because I have a super short playsuit ,from the Etsy shop Im Your Present, and they have no reinforced gusset (i.e. the darker bit starting from the top of the legs!). They are polka dotted throughout! So there is no black sections to show below the shorts. There are no tights out there that have these credentials and also manage to be super cute.
This is why I rushed to Debenhams when the tights were reduced in their amazing Blue Cross sale from £6.00 to ONLY £1.80!!! What value! I bought six pairs! I already bought at least six pairs full price as I only manage to go on about three nights out in one pair without snagging them (I'm very clumsy). This matters a lot when wearing hot pants!
These tights win the prize for the BEST tights ever because, as well as being covered in polka dots, they have a back seam! So they are sexy and feminine and retro all at the same time! They do not have a denier but are extremely good quality. They manage to be just sheer enough to be breathable and sexy, but still very supportive. They're not flimsy and light like most nude coloured tights, they are strong and durable and almost 'hold you in'. Like myself, I urge you to run down to your nearest Debenhams store, throw yourself at the tights rail, and buy as many pairs as you can justify. I know I did!
