Special Gallery: Michael Jackson, remembering a legend

Whatever your opinion was of Michael Jackson, the man broke boundaries both musically and stylistically. He pioneered some of the biggest fashion trends to rock the Eighties and Nineties. From the red biker jacket which he wore in the "Beat It" video to the white ankle socks, fedora and single silver glove he used to create his infamous moonwalk, he was a true inspiration to so many.

Michael was also a great lover of the military style, donning countless military-style jackets and leg armour. Recently, he set fashion tongues wagging when he stepped out more than once in items from Balmain's womenswear collection, evidence of his power to break gender boundaries without exception or fear. For this he will always be remembered. Long live the Thriller King!
