Maria Sharapova models technology-based fashion at Liberty
With Wimbledon just a blink away, Maria Sharapova took to the windows at Liberty to unveil some new prototype fashion designs.
As Global Brand Ambassador for Sony Ericsson, the former grand slam champ revealed a conceptual Bluetooth dress that lights up whenever the phone rings - handy for when you're in a noisy bar and can't hear your mobile. Other creative innovations include a metal bag that doubles as a phone charger, and a garment containing concealed cameras that can send video updates to your phone of your whereabouts.
The project is in conjunction with London College of Fashion, who worked with Sony Ericsson to help inspire future designs and ideas. The winning design (the Bluetooth dress) came from British student Georgie Davies.
