Settle petals! Before anyone gets too worked up about reports that Karl Lagerfeld is out at Chanel, a rep has been quick to shoot down such rumours.
Last week, Diane Pernet of A Shaded View of Fashion, blogged that Lagerfeld's future at the label was in doubt after he wasn't expected to renew his contract. It was also suggested that Lanvin's Alber Elbaz might take his place, and that Olivier Theyskens was a possibility to replace Elbaz.
Now spokespersons for both Chanel and Lanvin have stepped forward to deny any such plans. Diane has since apologised, but as she says they were just rumours. And on the bright side, Count Karl isn't going anywhere.
