Giles Deacon wins ANDAM Award; will show in Paris for Spring 2010
Bucking the trend for the spring/summer 2010 season is Giles Deacon. While everyone else is returning to London Fashion Week in September to celebrate the event's 25th anniversary, Giles is heading to Paris.
The British designer has just won the 2009 ANDAM Award which comes with a pretty sweet prize - €160,000. Few other details are known as this stage, but this will allow Giles to show his next collection in Paris.
He follows in the footsteps of Gareth Pugh, who won the ANDAM Award last year and has shown in Paris ever since. Other previous recipients include Martin Margiela and Viktor & Rolf.
