Giorgio Armani on the mend after case of hepatitis
A "high level of interest" in the welfare of Giorgio Armani has prompted the fashion house to reveal that he is recovering from a bout of hepatitis. The 74-year-old confirmed that he has suffered from hepatitis by poisoning, which is "certainly...not a rare illness, nevertheless it is one which requires some time for a complete recovery."
A statement was issued on Wednesday to respond to queries regarding the designer's health. It highlights that despite his illness, the Giorgio Armani brand "has continued to operate normally with business as usual." It also emphasised his "commitment both on the creative and management side has never relented."
Armani is on the cusp of presenting his eponymous menswear and Emporio lines in Milan next month, and his Privé couture collection in Paris in July. Let's hope he gets better by then.
