The economy was the last thing on many shoppers' minds yesterday when Matthew Williamson for H&M landed in-store. There were queues on both sides of the globe in London and New York with fashion fans grabbing what they could of the designer's high street range. In London, shoppers lined up from 6.30am at H&M's Regent Street store (above, left) with one woman splurging on £600 worth of goods. While in New York (above, right) they were blowing their unemployment cheques on Williamson's highly-coveted Peacock dress. I guess Matthew can thank Katy, Nicky and Mischa for that.

If you missed out yesterday, then don't worry a second batch of stock will hit stores on 14th May.
