Martin Margiela for your Maison

Martin Margiela is expanding his repertoire, the elusive Belgian designer has been busy producing a range of products for the home. The collection has already been in Margiela's stores as part of the decor but now they're producing versions you can take home with you.

The company exhibited their prototype collection at the Salone del Mobile international furniture and design exhibition. As well as furniture the range also includes bookshelves, trompe l'oeuil wallpaper, lamps and carpets.

The brand's chief executive officer Giovanni Pungetti said: "Margiela has always produced objects to complement the stores, but it used to be more about style than business." adding "We thought the Salone would be a good opportunity to introduce the new direction in which the Maison is expanding."
