Easter Bank Holiday is nearly upon us and if you want to get a dose of fashion and costume history we've compiled a list of some of our favourite exhibitions that you can visit over the weekend.

London:
The Hussein Chalayan exhibition at the Design Museum is definitely one to earmark for a visit, and we covered the Swedish Fashion exhibtion at the nearby FTM recently in our Ann-Sofie Back interview. Jump through to see what else is on, including the rest of the UK.

Another notable exhibition is Stephen Jones' Anthology of Hats at the V&A, and you can take advantage of the museum's late openings on a Friday to make an evening of it.

Elsewhere in the UK, Bath's Fashion Museum, a museum which has been on my must-see list forever has a Bill Gibb retrospective as well a exhibitions devoted to dresses, sporting costumes and gloves. Total treat for fashion fans!
Jean Muir - A Fashion Icon opened today at the Museum of Costume in Dumfries, Scotland, and will hopefully set the record straight for this much underrated designer.

Other places to consider include Brighton Museum, which has a great permanent exhibition of fashion and costume and the Bowes Museum in County Durham also looks worth a visit.
